The Smith House was built in Stamford, CT by architect Richard Meier. The house is located on a wooden hillside sloping toward the water. This project is aimed to create a suitable addition to Richard Meiers existing design preserving its originality.

I was able to accomplish this idea by extruding its columns, circulation and some walls. The visual concept emerged from the image of a marlin that would fit the surrounding of the house. The main spaces of the house are the family room and the family outdoor area. These rooms are bigger spaces and dissimilar forms than the rest. It shows level importance in its architecture. The formal outdoor area is also important because it is a place where people get more in contact with nature.
